Ruud leaves

I was 3 weeks old yesterday and now weigh 6lb 8. When my Dad came to the hospital he was in a terrible mood, he told me that Man United had sold their greatest ever goalscorer Ruud Van Nistelrooy for £10M, which he said was peanuts!!!! He is worried on two accounts, 1; how are United going to replace someone who scores 20+ goals every season and 2; we now have a dog named after a Real Madrid player!!!

Bath time

Apparently I need to get use to this as its the law to have a bath every Sunday night.
Seems quite pleasant, little splash of water on the hair and behind my ears.

As soon as I hit the water naked....not very nice at all!!!!

Had to giggle

Had to laugh today, my Dad showed me a video of how I would grow up if I didn't listen to the advice that he would be giving me over the coming years.

After watching a video of the Kersal Massive I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!!!

2 weeks or minus 4 weeks old

Today I am 2 weeks old, but considering I shouldn't have been here until mid August then I am minus 4 weeks young!!!
Think I might follow the Queens example, I don't mean living in huge stately homes at the taxpayers expense, I mean celebrating two birthdays, which could come in handy for lots more cuddles and pressies.

To celebrate my Dad got me a new outfit.

Guess I am going to raised on a diet of Madchester music and Eric Cantona videos. Still its better than being brainwashed with Franny Lee and Aha.

Temperature records broken!!!

Did you know today the temperature reached 36.3C making it the highest July temperature ever!!!! If you don't believe me look here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5193486.stm
I asked my Mum and Dad for a paddling pool and a water fight but before they could organise it I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 11pm, this heat really takes it out of you.
Now I like it hot but this is too hot for me!!!!!

Heatwave

Ruudi and Ole
The weather is even causing problems for my pet dogs at home, so much so that they have to be kept behind bars otherwise they attack Manfredi the ice cream man!!!

NHS says 'eat more burgers'

Please don't blame McDonalds if you or your family are fat. www.cdfe.org/mcdonalds.htm

This is where my Mum is staying at the hospital. As you can see it is sponsored by the nice people from McDonalds, paid for by all the people who buy quarter pounders and ask for them to be super-sized. Then when they become ill, their relatives can stay here and visit them, very handy!

Mum leaves Dad shock!!!!

Got your attention? Good.
My Mum has moved back to the hospital because me being such a clever boy heard the nurse saying that if I started to breastfeed properly then instead of feeding by a tube every 3 hours I would be put on demand feeds, which means that my Mum would have to stay at the hospital and feed me whenever I wanted!
As I was missing her so much I decided to stop messing about and start being a little grown up, as a result I breastfed correctly today for 20mins non-stop!!!!! After that it was slippers and snooze time!
Welcome back Mum xxx.

Some things I have learned about myself

Today I learned a few things about myself.
1. My favourite football team is Manchester United. My Dad told me that they are the bestest team ever and it isn't really worth watching any other teams unless they are playing against the might Red Devils (thats their nickname). I think it will be good to support them as today they beat up a group of Pirates from Orlando 4-0 in South Africa. www.manutd.com

2. My favourite Rugby team is Salford Reds. My Grandad Fred told me that rugby is a much better game than football but not to watch the devils game of rugby union as the players of union are not as good as rugby league players because it needs 15 of them to play, but league only need 13 because they are fitter and stronger. I'm a little bit concerned though as Salford Reds lost yesterday 20-12 against some pie eaters from Wigan. Grandad Fred said that it will be difficult being a Salford fan as they have to beat the referee in most games as well as the other team. www.reds.co.uk

3. I think I have a good sense of humour as I like to wait until my nappy and bum has been cleaned and then I go to the toilet again before my Mum has chance to put on a clean nappy.

Mummy's boy?

Mummy's boy me? Guilty as charged.

Couldn't quite settle today, my Dad had a go bless him, but didn't really have the touch. A little cry later along comes Mum and voila!!!!

Mum is well enough to go home!!!

My Mum at home enjoying a well earned cup of rosie lee!!!
In the corner of the picture is one of my older sisters Ruudi.

This is my best friend he stays in my cot with me. He doesn't have a name yet so any suggestions?

My Mum was well enough to go home today, I'll miss her but she comes to change, wash, feed and cuddle me every 6 hours.
I hope she brings me some clothes that fit!!!

Pass the factor 50

Yay!!!!! Its Day 5 and to celebrate I don't have to go on the sunbed anymore.
So what do my parents do? They start unwrapping me to let the cold in, not the smartest parenting move. Lets hope they learn.......and fast!!!!

A boys gotta do what a boys gotta do........sleep.

My Mum & Dad

The Smiths.

I look a little cooked as I have spent all day on the sunbed trying to shake of a mild bit of jaundice.

My Mum taking part in one of her favourite activities.
Her appetite has definitely not been affected, she recommends the broccoli and cheese soup....think I'll stick to a pint of Gold Top for now.

For some reason they gave my Dad a medal for all his hard work!!!!!
Pity, maybe they should have bought him some intensive eye repair cream and shown him how to use a razor!
He has told me that the camera caught him on one of his 'tired' days.

Is it a syrup?

Some people have suggested that my Dad sneaked a syrup into the hospital to save me the ridicule of being follicly challenged.
Lets just say I must take after my Mum in this department!!!!

The opposite of my Dad......Loads of hair but no teeth!!!

The pleasures of caravaning

Only one thing left to do after a hard day, knock some ZZZZZ's out.

Arggghhh!! Bath time courtesy of my Dads sloppy chops!

Ahhh!! Me and my Mum on my third day.

Thats a better picture of my Mum. I think she looks great even after being in hospital 35 hours before I was born.

I can't kiss yet but if I could I would give her a big sloppy milky kiss to say 'Thank You'.

Thats obviously my left foot.

My Dad has told me to practice kicking with both feet as I don't want to be one footed like Ryan Giggs (not sure who he is).

This is in my caravan/incubator. Although I weighed 5lb 101/2 when I was born I had to go into an incubator to help control my body temperature. I had a drip in my hand with glucose in to increase my blood sugar levels and a tube in my nose to feed me. The things on my chest are just probes to check that my breathing and heart rate are ok.

Thats my Mums hand, although I can't really see very well yet I can tell that she is really cute just like me!!!

Fight, fight, fight!!!

I was born on Friday 7th July 2006 at 3.27pm.
I should have been born on August 16th but I didn't want to wait 4 years to watch my first World Cup final.

This is my first picture taken by my Dad on his mobile phone at 4.40pm, 1 hour and 13 minutes after I was born!!!!

It does looks like I have been down Church St. Eccles on a Sunday night out!!! It's not by best look with those bruises.

Before you have a go at him about using his phone in hospitals the nurse said it would be ok if he took a quick one, OK!!!
